Camp VC Beginners riding lesson: Saturday 1:30pm - 3pm
For 2025 we have reduced the number of participants per session, as we feel this will give riders the best possible experience. This is reflected in the new cost and time per session.
In this session with the team at Days on the Dirt you will:
Learn how to use a clutch on a motorcycle, from neutral to first gear
Start/stop a motorbike, with the use of a clutch
Complete a turn
Link turns in a slalom
Complete a figure of eight
Progress into second gear (if you’re feeling brave!)
Ride around a little track we make
What does my £65 get me:
The use of a 2022 Honda CRF125, the PERFECT bike to learn how to ride on, shared with a small group of riders
A helmet and gloves to use
A damn good time in an hour and a half and the perfect foundation to pursue motorcycling
Plenty of ride time at the end of the session
All the necessary insurances and fuel for the motorbike
No charges in the unlikely case of damaging the motorcycle
Can I bring my own kit?:
Sure, if you have a suitable helmet and gloves, please do bring them. We have them if not and you can also borrow kit from the provider on site.
We also ask that you wear clothes that cover your arms and legs (no shorts and tees) and that you wear good shoes, ideally boots covering your ankles but trainers are fine for what we’re doing (just no slides).
We also recommend not getting full kit from the provider on site, as when you’re new to motorcycling it’s often too much and we find that riders in it struggle, especially with the big boots on!
Who will train me?:
At Days on the Dirt we pride ourselves on being passionate motorcyclists. Every instructor has grown up, riding and racing their whole lives and look forward to sharing the thing that they love most, with you.
We don’t let just anyone teach for us, all instructors (male and female) have been heavily vetted by bossy Leah and share our ethos. And are all very capable motorcyclists.
How will I get more info on my session?:
Final instructions will be mailed (so please input your best email address) out at least a week in advance of the event. Detailing meet points, times and all the info you may be wondering.
If you have any other questions or queries in the meantime, please contact- daysonthedirt@gmail.com > please don’t DM us on social media… we’re pretty slow atm.
IMPORTANT
You must have a valid ticket to attend Camp VC to complete this lesson
If you are booking for multiple people, please, please, please leave their name and email address in the ‘comments’ box at checkout - these email addresses must also match the emails you are using for the Camp VC app
At the point of completing your booking, the session does is non-refundable, unless in extenuating circumstances at our discretion. Ultimately if you book a slot, that means nobody else can take your slot- sessions can be transferred to another attendee, just let us know about the change and sort the money out between yourselves, please :)
Please show up to the session you have booked in a timely manner, unfortunately we are very busy and highly likely to sellout- which does not leave any wiggle room for fitting you on to another session if you have missed yours or if you are late, we will not be able to run over the allotted time.
